Press Conference on the Agreement Between CVA S.p.A. and V.I.T.A. S.p.A.

Today, Friday, September 26, a press conference was held at our headquarters to present the agreement signed between CVA S.p.A. and V.I.T.A. S.p.A. The two leading companies from the Aosta Valley have joined forces on a series of initiatives promoting sustainable mobility and the use of renewable energy sources.

In particular, the agreement provides for the installation by CVA of ten fast-charging stations in the municipalities of Pont-Saint-Martin, Quart, Arnad, and Ivrea to serve the new electric buses recently added to our fleet. CVA will also supply 100% green electricity generated from renewable sources.

The electric buses unveiled during the press conference are fully branded by CVA. These include the 12-meter IC12E, the 10-meter U10, and the 9-meter E9 models, all manufactured by industry leader Yutong. They represent an important step forward for sustainable mobility in the Aosta Valley. All new electric buses are also treated with PURETI photocatalytic technology for air purification, ensuring a healthier environment inside the vehicles while also transforming each bus into an active player against pollution: as it moves, the vehicle helps improve urban air quality by breaking down atmospheric pollutants. One square meter treated with PURETI purifies as much air as one tree.

The agreement between CVA and V.I.T.A. contributes to the decarbonization path launched by the Aosta Valley Region under the “Fossil Fuel Free 2040” Road Map, in line with the Paris Agreement and IPCC recommendations.

“The agreement with CVA S.p.A.,” said Jean Pierre Calliera, President and CEO of V.I.T.A. S.p.A., “represents a strategic step in the energy transition undertaken by V.I.T.A. S.p.A., aimed at renewing public transport services through low-emission solutions. The use of locally produced renewable energy to power the new electric fleet is a targeted investment capable of generating long-term environmental and operational benefits. This initiative, the first of its kind between two Aosta Valley companies, confirms our commitment to sustainable, efficient, and locally rooted mobility. V.I.T.A. firmly believes in the electrification process, in which we have invested around 6 million euros — 2 million of our own funds and 4 million from dedicated financing.”

“The collaboration with V.I.T.A. S.p.A.,” said Enrico De Girolamo, General Manager of CVA, “fully reflects CVA S.p.A.’s ability to offer integrated energy solutions that support the ecological transition of key regional sectors. The contractual model developed includes the design and construction of the charging infrastructure, the continuous supply of renewable energy, and a co-marketing initiative involving the branding of the vehicles. It is a concrete example of local industrial innovation that combines sustainability, efficiency, and the enhancement of our region.”
